Contact Guided Angels Ministry

Guided Angels Ministry was developed by Cass Jendzurski. She is the recording artist for the Guided Angels CDs and author of the accompanying training manuals and songbooks. The Guided Angels materials are in use across the USA. Health care professionals and volunteers at hospices, hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities use these materials. They are a useful resource as well for those who volunteer at churches or retirement communities who desire to provide a ministry of comfort for the dying.

Cass is a professional performer, professional solo vocalist, musician, composer, author, and recording artist. She has appeared in numerous principal theatrical roles at numerous professional theaters. She is an experienced professional therapeutic musician who is contracted by health care facilities and hospices to provide healing bedside music for those who are ill or dying.

In 1999 Cass founded Songs for the Journey in her hometown of Lancaster, PA. This volunteer ministry of music exists today with 40 members who are on call 24/7 to the actively dying of her community. She trains and coordinates for this ministry yet today. She is the recipient of the 2001 Fulton Opera House “Women Who Care Award” for her significant contribution to the quality of life in her community through Songs for the Journey – www.songs4thejourney.org

Of special note: Live music at the bedside is always what is best for a patient. However, budget restrictions and the unavailability of trained therapeutic musicians do not always make this possible. Under such circumstances the use of recorded music that is specific and intentional provides an adequate backup. The feedback on the Guided Angels CDs reports a number of patients making their transition during the playing of these CDs. You will always need to have recorded music on hand. In using the Guided Angels music and program you will experience the beauty of the use of music at the bedside. It is my sincere hope that this would be just the beginnings of a music program within your facility, hospice, or church. Then at some point please consider hiring or contracting a therapeutic musician. Perhaps some of your staff or volunteers will be led to pursue a certification as a therapeutic musician. There are several highly qualified programs through which this can be achieved. Over the years the use of the Guided Angels program has inspired others to seek this certification.
